Bodyweight Strength and Mobility Workshop
The Bodyweight Strength and Mobility Workshop is a combination of primal movement, bodyweight strength, corrective exercise & fascial theory combined into a highly unique and experiential day of movement.
We have combined the best of corrective and primal movement into an exciting learning experience. The information learned will change the way you approach mobility by offering multiple lenses and strategies for improvement.
Day 1 will be focused on mobility using facets of different types of stretching, controlled articulated rotations, PAILs/RAILs and exercise prescriptions. It will also include stability and mobility exercises for various compensations/joint limitations.
Day 2 will be focused on the strength aspects and introducing how to progress towards movements such as handstands, flagpoles, muscle ups, pistol squats, back levers and front levers.
Course will include progression/regression charts that also include common errors, explanations and fixes.

Certification Dates: July 8-9th from 9 AM to 5 PM.

About Bodyweight Strength and Mobility Instructor Brian Truong

Brian started his fitness career as a graduate of BCPTI. Upon graduation, Brian primarily worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder while working as a Personal Trainer. Over time, he became an Educator for BCPTI while completing his Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. Brian returns as the Director of Fitness Education for Fitness World & BCPTI.
Brian uses an eclectic approach to training and education. He has taken countless courses while dabbling in a variety of training styles, modalities, and even competitions. Notably, he has competed in powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting breaking provincial and national records in the bench press and overall categories. Brian enjoys using other styles of training also, such as bodyweight calisthenics and gymnastics, and movement for joy. Brian prioritizes the integration of mental and physical health by providing a holistic approach to working with others.
